lockout tagoutThe purpose of this Hazardous Energy Control Program is to establish the minimum requirements for the lockout/tagout of energy control devices whenever maintenance or servicing is performed on machines or equipment. This program shall be used to ensure that machines or equipment are de-energized and isolated from all potentially hazardous energy sources and locked and/or tagged out before employees perform any servicing or maintenance where the unexpected energizing or start-up of the machine or equipment or release of stored energy could cause injury.
