In recent years, concern has grown over the spread of several pathogens through occupational contact. In response to this, OSHA developed regulations on bloodborne pathogens such as Hepatitis B and HIV. These are described in the Bloodborne Pathogens Program, which is reviewed annually by the Chemical and Biological Safety Committee.
