The committee ensures that the use of RAM on campus complies with the provisions of the license issued to the College by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (Radiation Control Program). All users of RAM, including sealed sources, must report use of these materials to the Chair of the Radiation Safety Committee. Specific requirements are listed in the Radiation Safety Handbook.

Members of the committee include the College’s radiation safety officer (the committee chair) and all members of the faculty and staff using radioactive materials. The committee meets quarterly.
